An invited group of Year 8 students are taking part in a 2 hour workshop today on devising original drama with Amy from Box House Theatre Company. The invited students have all shown a consistently positive attitude and high quality of work in their Drama lessons this year. The workshop took them through the creative process that this theatre company uses when creating their own performances. The focus was on creating physical theatre using body and voice to create props. The students created their own performances using a well-known folk tale as their stimulus. The students demonstrated creativity and a range of original responses to the story; showcasing the skills they had learnt in the workshop.
