African Adventures is organising a free 30-minute online, Connecting Classrooms Forum today at 4pm for schools to come together and share ideas about how they can make a tangible difference to one of their 26 partner schools in Kenya, Ghana and Zanzibar providing free, good quality education and feeding programmes to young people living in extreme poverty. This is particularly important as the pandemic has cut off the help that these communities usually receive from their visiting volunteer groups.
Springfield are delighted to not only join this forum but to contribute too. Mr Lomas, Head of Enterprise and PDL will be speaking about his experience in leading four volunteering trips to Kenya as well as:
- Gary Froy, Foundation Stage Leader at Kingsbury High School in London, is connecting his students with their partner school in Kenya to make a difference from the UK
- Jonny O’Keeffe, Head of The Excellence Academy at Moseley Park School in Wolverhampton, is taking his school’s partnership further by organising a volunteering trip to Kenya
- Dan Mew, African Adventures’ Founder, has seen first-hand the impact that a partnership can have through the phenomenal progress made at The Walk Centre in Kenya
It is a great opportunity for the school to partner with African Adventures which is making a huge difference to their community schools in Africa.
