Springfield awards evening took place yesterday (Wednesday 20th November) when we celebrated the success of the 2019 leavers. Ex-pupils Emma Chandler and Megan Parkes commenced the celebrations with a superb vocal performance of 'A Million Dreams' (by Pink).
Two members of former Springfield colleagues also received special appreciation awards for the role they played at Springfield over the years. Our guest of honour this year was the Chief Operating Officer of the University of Portsmouth and The De Curci Trust member Bernie Topham, who gave a motivating speech to our 2019 leavers about their future after school, making the most of every opportunity and resilience. The 2018-19 senior prefect team also gave an upbeat speech about their time at Springfield and how they have been equipped with life-long skills. A special thank you to Bernie for joining us and to all our sponsors for your generous support!
One of our sponsors commented "What was an inspiring evening of awards. It was great to hear the cheering which shows how strong as bond they have all made and the respect they have for their education which Springfield should be very proud."
