We were thrilled to hear from ex-pupil Jenny Carter-Smith with an update of what she is doing now.  Jenny left in 2015 and she has been very busy...  

"Since school I went to Portsmouth College taking A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Geography. Since college I have been studying Business and Management at the University of Portsmouth, taking options in Procurement and Supply Chain Risk Management. I have enjoyed my course so far and the opportunities university has given me. Last year I went on a summer school in China, spending time in Beijing and Shanghai; which was an amazing experience. I am currently on my placement year at King’s College Alicante, as a teaching assistant. It is amazing looking out of my window to palm trees and walking down the road to the beach. I am really enjoying the job, working with the children individually, and leading different ability groups. I have taken trips to Torrevieja, Guadalest, Las Fuentes del Algar and Madrid; and plan to explore more areas as the year goes on. I am also learning Spanish at the school whilst being here. This experience so far is making me consider a future career in teaching abroad. I am excited for the rest of the year."
