On Thursday, 6 June, Mrs Mandrill's Year 9 Child Development class looked at different types of nappies, tips and tricks for changing and disposing of nappies and what items might be needed for a layette. Students had fun choosing outfits for their 'babies' and ensuring they were looking their best! This fun but informative lesson enabled students to gain valuable skills on how to handle babies safely whilst changing them, learning the best techniques to get little arms and legs into clothes as well as how to swaddle (swaddling correctly can be an effective technique to help calm infants and promote sleep).
