Our annual awards evening, hosted by Ms Spivey (Headteacher), Mr Peachment (Head of Achievement  for Year 11 - 2022/23) and Mr Cufley (Chair of Governors), took place on Thursday, 23 November when we celebrated the success of our 2023 leavers. Former Head Boy Matthew Bennett commenced the celebrations with a superb piano rendition of 'All Blues' by Miles David. Winners were then presented with an array of awards and certificates sponsored, very kindly, by a host of local organisations.

We were also delighted to honour distinguished service to the school to four former Springfield colleagues for the role they played at Springfield over the years. Our guest of honour this year was former Springfield pupil Katy Sexton, MBE, who gave a motivating speech to our 2022 leavers about her experience of being a former swimming World Champion and Double Olympian and the determination and resilience she showed during those years. Our 2023 senior prefect team also gave an upbeat speech about their time at Springfield, reminiscing on experiences during each year they were in school from Year 7 to Year 11.
