We were delighted to welcome Bev Scammell from Canine Partners to Springfield this morning who brought along two special guests - Marie and her Canine Partner dog Travis (pictured below with Mr Lomas). Our guests surprised Woolf House members with a special entrance during their House Assembly this morning. Bev took time to speak to pupils about the valuable work dogs like Travis do, and how our house puppies are getting on with their training (she explained that all puppies are individuals and their progress varies). Marie explained the ways in which Travis assists her with day to day tasks i.e. collecting the post and assisting with shopping (this includes taking items off the shelves, putting them into a basket and even paying by contactless card!). We are so glad to be supporting this fantastic charity and look forward to hearing how the houses puppies progress with their training. Thanks to Bev, Marie and Travis for coming to visit us today.
